Happy Birthday, No. 2!
Earth celebrated the 26th anniversary of the birth of a wonderful woman yesterday. Em and I celebrated in an Oklahoma casino while some folks in Illinois offered up a cake and decorations.
I think I can say that a good time was had by all. Luv U, Sweetie!
Thanks Momma! Unfortunately I have been really bad on keeping up with computer stuff lately. First, my computer broke. Then the3yungin fixed it. And now it's broke again. I'm currently on my new Beau's computer just trying to get caught up on things. I have a date with my IT brother on Thursday to try and get things rolling again on there.
My birthday was a BLAST. Although, I was definitely under the weather the following day. Not exactly a day I wanted to go into work.
Just got your package today, too, Mom. Thank you! Overall, this was a very good birthday and you helped contribute!
In other news, just trying to get a balance between school, work, and anything else I need to be doing. Right now the gym seems to be the thing getting the least attention. Although after leaving my health class today and talking about physical fitness and nutrition for 3 hours, I did run to the grocery store and buy healthy foods and then went to the gym around midnight with my guy for a late night run. That may seem weird to some people, but I tend to run on a later schedule than most. (Hence my posting at 1:30am). This is usually the time that I am winding down from the day.
I'll have some "me" time this weekend with my guy, my roommate, and my dad out of town at the same time. Hopefully I will use it wisely. My plan is to get some serious cleaning done at our apartment, play some guitar, read a book, and hang out with the cats. That is, of course, after I've gone to the gym, done my homework, and eaten a healthy well balanced meal. And then there's that work thing.....crap. We'll see how much I get done!
Enough about me, I'm a little behind with everyone else! What's new? or Que hay de nuevo? (as we would say in Spanish class).
What's new around here is that we thought we had a used car for No. 1 to use for school and were to pay for it this coming Sunday. Then, No. 1 called to say that the transmission died on that car, so we're back to square one.
It's already getting old driving No. 1 to school for her 9am class and then picking her up after her second class on M-W-F, so we were looking forward to the end of THAT experience. On T-Th, she attends night school, so Dave drives her to and fro. She works, though, on Monday nights, Wednesday nights and Saturdays. So far she's been able to get rides to/fro work, but we've been on standby.
Diane came and went; that's news. Saturday we're attending a peace rally in Fort Worth. No. 1 has to find another ride to work Saturday because of that. Priorities...priorities.
I think the Spanish is Que pasa?, but I suppose that could be Tex-Mex.
