We have weather!!!!!

It's been raining for two days now...pretty hard, too! It's ALSO cooled off quite a bit, but there's been no mention of freezes. Rather than constantly updating y'all on our N. Texas weather, I included a weather sticker on the footer. If you scroll ALL the way DOWN, you'll see a 7-day forecast for where we live. The weeds are gonna love this rain! The seeds may end up in the next yard. The sounds and light-shows have been impressive. The town wells might actually start to fill; the drought may already be over! Hooray! (I THINK)... MAYBE... We'll SEE. I'll letcha know.

Flash Flood warnings have been issued already. We get those every time it rains heavily, simply because the ground is typically so hard from all the sun that it can't readily absorb a whole bunch of rain at one time.

Somebody go out there and see if the worms have climbed out of the ground! YOU go first!

P.S. I think the Weather Bureau "blew" Thursday of this week. Highs are supposed to be higher than lows (last time I checked).

Hooray! Mommy got rained on!
Hope your garden survives the tides. We had a pretty bad storm last Sunday that was pretty amazing to watch. The first rainfall was blowing in from one direction. It stopped. Then started blowing in from the opposite direction. I'm a big fan of the storms that have the high winds. Sounds beautiful.

Woo hoo!

We had some nasty weather last week (same storms that blew up to IL--my mom got hit by those up there, probably my dad and the one bro who lives up there, too) that left us with several inches and flash flooding.

Then, it started raining this Friday and hasn't stopped since. More flash flooding. It's finally looking like it might clear up today, though.

The yard looks like a tidal wave hit it. I'm really loving my raised rows right now...

The fire-ants ALSO climb out of the ground in these deep rains. Why didn't I think of that before I walked out there in my crappy garden sandals to see how everything was doing? [They hang out with the REGULAR ants, too, 'cause they LOOKED like the REGULAR ants when I saw them crawling all over my feet.]

Call your brokers! MORE stock in neosporin!

Good to know that ants aren't racists. :)

Apparently Ants have discovered world peace!

Maybe they found out that the black ants have the R-A-ID bomb, and now they have to diplomicize... "
